The Port of Kaskinen is located on the west coast of Finland, along the Gulf of Bothnia, approximately 100 kilometers north of Pori. The deep-water port provides a quick connection to the open sea and the Baltic Sea shipping lanes. Thanks to its sheltered location, assistance from icebreakers is rarely needed during the winter months.

CARGO TRAFFIC

BY ROAD

BY RAIL

Rail freight operations in Port of Kaskinen have been suspended until further notice starting September 14th due to safety reasons.
The Port of Kaskinen also has a railway connection – the Suupohja railway, from which two pairs of tracks, each 900 meters long, lead to the port. The planned electrification of this railway section, if realized, would provide the basis for even smoother freight transportation.

BY SEA

In terms of maritime transportation, the location of the Port of Kaskinen on the west coast of Finland is excellent. It provides fast access to the Baltic Sea shipping lanes, and during the winter season, the need for icebreakers is minimal.
